We’re Sabrina and Rob and we admire and respect the courage you are showing by considering adoption, and for the love you are giving to your baby. Adoption is a wondrous gift and we are honored that you are thinking about us.
How our separate lives became one …
Sabrina is from France and Rob is originally from England. We met in Marseille, France in December 2007 and we immediately knew, and felt, that we would have some extraordinary experiences together. We connected so well from the first moments that we couldn’t spend enough time together.
We decided to marry in Marseille in 2010. It was a beautiful day and also a wonderfully emotional time being surrounded by our families and friends who came to celebrate our marriage. With joy, we recently celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary!
Following our wedding, Rob was offered a great job opportunity in Illinois. Rob is a Service Engineer for a large USA corporation with customers in Illinois and around the country. In Europe, Sabrina has worked as a model manager, and is now enjoying her work as a personal stylist and photographer.
After struggling to build a family ourselves, life guided us toward three couples with adopted children, whom have become our close friends. That is one of the reasons why adoption became a natural choice for us.
Rob in Sabrina’s eyes …
Rob is very loving and has a great sense of humor. He always thinks about others before himself. He loves children and can spend hours playing with them and having tons of fun! He has a positive way of thinking. People love to be with him, as he also has a wonderful calm side. Rob loves spending time on the golf course and is eager to teach our children to golf, just as his dad taught him. I also can’t wait to see the twinkle in a child’s eyes, laughing with Rob, while playing soccer or biking along the lake. He will be an incredible father, and our child will always be his priority.
Sabrina in Robs eyes…
Sabrina has a big heart. She is always ready to listen to and help others. She cares deeply for her family and friends. Sabrina has always taken the time to take care of our friend’s children whenever needed and is very creative so that they are never bored!
Sabrina loves photography, swimming, jewelry design and teaching French. And, of course, being French, she is a wonderful cook! It will be such a joy to one day see her and our child preparing pancakes together in the kitchen, as Sabrina did with her mother when she was a child. And for sure, the child will swim before she or he can walk, since Sabrina is such a passionate swimmer. I know that she will be a wonderful and devoted mother, who will love and cherish our child with all her heart.
Our Families …
Family has always been very important in our lives. We are fortunate to be able to spend lots of time with them, whether in France, England or the USA! Our families are multi-cultural and we dream of raising our child bi-lingual so he/she will be at ease in both cultures.
Rob’s eldest brother lives in Florida and we have the pleasure of visiting him often. Florida is a great place to escape the Chicago winter! Our family is excited and ready to support us in this wonderful journey of adoption.
Adoring grandparents, loving aunts and uncles and playful cousins can’t wait to welcome a new baby into our family. Sabrina’s parents love children. They are always taking care of Sabrina’s nieces, Zellie and Sasha. They have lots of fun riding ponies along the beach together, and they are eager to enjoy life with a new grandchild in the family. Zellie and Sasha are already asking about their cousin, and are ready to be “big sisters”. Sadly Rob’s mother passed away in 2007 but we feel she is looking down on us, and will be the best guiding angel for our future child.
Home and Community
We live in a two-bedroom condominium in Chicago. It’s very close to Lake Michigan with all of its fun lakefront activities, lovely beaches and beautiful walking and biking paths. The parks and playgrounds are only a short walk away. We had lots of fun designing and decorating our home and there’s plenty of space for a new child.
Downtown Chicago is short train ride away. Our neighborhood is very diverse with lots of families with children playing happily together. We also discover daily that our neighbors are open and friendly and always ready to help.
We share our home with our little man Noa. He is a very quiet and loving young cat. He loves to spend hours on our laps and can sleep all day long. But he has his moments and the “red string” is his favorite game.
Making the most of life…
As you already know, we spend a lot of time enjoying the lake. We love doing the simple things of life such as looking out across the lake, picnicking, having conversations, biking or watching a game of soccer at home. During the summer weekends, we like to have brunch or dinner with friends, and maybe go bowling or play bocce ball. Together we love to travel and recently spent a weekend in New York. We love discovering other cultures and people and we look forward to special occasions that bring our families together.
Our Promise …
If you choose us to be the adoptive parents of your child, we promise to provide your precious baby a lifetime of opportunities and all the love in our hearts. We have been blessed to have a fulfilling life together and can’t wait to share it with a child. We believe our love for each other will allow us to become loving and caring parents.
