Tobi Ehrenpreis, M.A, MPH,
Executive Director and Founder
Tobi has a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. She also holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago, and a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Illinois. She oversees financial, marketing and administrative services and counsels families waiting to adopt. Tobi has two daughters by adoption. In 2001, Tobi founded On Your Feet Foundation, an Illinois and Indiana not-for-profit that assists birth mothers following an adoptive placement
Maggie Gill Benz, LCSW, LMFT,
Clinical Director and Co-Founder
Maggie holds Masters Degrees in Psychology and Social Work from the University of Illinois, and DePaul University. Maggie has over 25 years of experience in the adoption field, and is both a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist. Maggie oversees all home study services, counsels adoptive families and supervises the birth parent counselors. She is also a parent by adoption.
Jill Greenwood, MA
Counselor, Metro Chicago
Jill has been with ACFB for over 4 years. She came to this agency with over 15 years counseling experience in adoption and foster care services. She has worked with both birth parents and adoptees providing search and reunion services. Jill has a Master’s degree in Human Service Administration from Concordia University. Jill is married with two teenage children.
Mary Seddon, MPH
Indiana Adoption Coordinator, Northern and Northwest Indiana
Mary works with birth mothers in Northwest and Northern Indiana, and coordinates adoption services throughout the state. Mary has a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of South Florida and had worked in the counseling field for many years before joining the Adoption Center staff nine years ago. Mary and her husband are parents by adoption. Their son and daughter are young adults.
Sue Stewart, LCSW
Sue has been conducting homestudies in the greater Chicago area for over thirty years. Sue has been with the Adoption Center for Family Building for over fifteen years. She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago and is a licensed clinical social worker. Sue is married and is a mother and grandmother.
Diane Greco-Colravy, MSW, LSW,
Adoption Counselor, Central IL
Diane is a licensed social worker providing home study services to prospective adoptive families in Central/Southern Illinois. Diane holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has worked in the adoption field for 25 years. Diane is married, and she and her husband are parents to a daughter and a son through adoption.
Cindy Anselmo, MSW, LSW
Adoption Counselor, Metro Chicago Area
Cindy has over 15 years experience counseling birth parents and providing home study services to adoptive families. She holds a Masters degree in Social Work from George Williams College at Aurora University and is a Licensed Social Worker. Cindy is also a birth mother herself and was thrilled to reconnect with her birth son a few years ago. Cindy is married and parenting two young children.
Barb Perce, MSW,
Adoption Counselor, Metro Chicago Area
Barb joins the ACFB team with over 11 years of experience in the field of foster care and adoptions. She provides adoption counseling to birth parents and conducts home studies with prospective adoptive parents. Barb has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Loyola University. Barb is married and has two children, a teenager and a pre-teen.
Amanda Black, B.A
Adoption Counselor, Central and Southern Illinois
Amanda has over 10 years experience working in the domestic infant adoption field. She conducts home studies and works with birth mothers in Central and Southern Illinois. She holds a bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota, and is a parent through an open adoption.
Kim Tant, BSW,
Adoption Counselor, Central and Southern Indiana
With over 20 years of experience in the adoption field, Kim counsels expectant mothers and conducts home studies in Central and Southern Indiana. Her most recent position was with On Your Feet Foundation working with birth mothers post-placement. A native Nashvillian, Kim completed a Bachelor of Science degree from Davis Lipscomb University with a major in Social Work and a minor in Psychology. Kim is married with two adult children.
Susan Wilson, M.S
Adoption Counselor, Metro Chicago Area and Northwest Indiana
With over 20 years of experience in the adoption field, Sue conducts home studies in the greater Chicago area and Northwest Indiana. Sue is the past co-director of On Your Feet Foundation, an organization that offers support services and grants to birth mothers who have placed a child for adoption. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Chicago State University, and has recently completed CTI, Life Coaching coursework. Sue is married and is a mother of six adult children. She is also a grandmother.
Dana Ellenby-Bergeron, BSW, Adoption Counselor, Metro Chicago Area
Dana has worked with both birth parents and adoptive parents and managed intercountry adoption programs. She has been conducting home studies in the greater Chicago area for over thirty years. Dana holds Bachelors Degrees in Social Work and Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dana is marred with two adult sons.
Nancy Feldman, AA,
With over 20 years administrative experience, Nancy coordinates all day-to-day administrative functions, and keeps the office running smoothly. Nancy holds an Associates Degree in Child Development, and is the mother of two children through adoption. After working in Corporate America for many years, Nancy is enjoying sharing her passion for adoption by being a member of a team helping to create families through adoption. Nancy has been with the Adoption Center for Family Building for over 10 years.
Brenda Flores, AA,
Brenda has an Associates Degree in Design and has been with ACFB for almost 9 years. Brenda is fluent in Spanish, and has been instrumental in our efforts to reach the Spanish speaking community. Brenda coordinates all interstate services, organizes the agencies database systems and assists with fundraising efforts.
